COMMITTEE

All winners and nominees are chosen and agreed upon by a the four current members of the Wii Sports Gang Film & TV Academy, who make up the Wii Sports Gang Film & TV Academy Committee. All films and series nominated are viewed by at least one Academy member.

PROJECT ELIGIBILITY

FILM

Any film that is a first-time watch for an Academy member that at least half of the Committee has not yet seen will be eligible only for the upcoming Timmy Awards.

Classifications (Drama, Comedy or Musical) are collectively decided upon by the Committee.

TELEVISION

Any series that is a first-watch for an Academy member that at least half of the Committe has not yet seen will be eligible for only the upcoming Timmy Awards, as long as the entire available series is finished. More specifically, series that are no longer airing must be watched in their entirety before they are eligible for the awards. Series that are still airing must have every available season watched in order to be eligible. If previous season(s) of a currently-airing show were already eligible in a previous year, any new seasons can still be eligible for the Timmys, but only those seasons. If a new season of a currently-airing show begins to air/release before one eligibility period, but does not conclude airing until the next eligibility period, the season will only be eligible for the latter eligibility period when the season finishes airing.

Limited or Anthology Series are series that were released with the intention of concluding after just one season, or series with subsequent seasons following entirely new characters with an entirely new story. If a show is cancelled after one season, it is not to be classified as a Limited or Anthology Series.

Classifications (Drama, Comedy) are to be collectively decided upon by the Committee. They may even choose to classify a Limited or Anthology Series as a comedy or drama instead.

LEGACY AWARDS

Legacy Awards are awards given to films and series that were viewed by Academy members prior to the inception of the Timmy Awards, or prior to their involvement with the Timmy Awards. Each Legacy Awards is recorded as both a win and nomination.

LEGACY AWARD ELIGIBILITY

If a film or series was viewed by a member prior to becoming a member of the Wii Sports Gang Film & TV Academy Committee, and at least half of the Committee has viewed the project, it is deemed eligible for a Legacy Award, where there must be a majority vote within the Committee to grant the award. If less than half of the Committee has viewed the project, it is not eligible for a Legacy Award as other members may watch and nominate the project in the current or upcoming Timmy Award season.
